Matcha Lemonade
Matcha lemonade is the drink that converts matcha skeptics. Lemon's acidity mutes the vegetal note people don't love, and the cold makes the L-theanine sweetness pop. Strong on a hot day, sneaky-caffeinated, and impossible to mess up.

Tips
- Sparkling water + matcha lemonade is the upgrade most cafés don't bother with.
- Honey doesn't dissolve well in cold water — make a 1:1 honey-to-warm-water syrup first.
- Skip ceremonial grade here. Culinary matcha is cheaper and tastes great with lemon.
FAQ
Won't lemon ruin the matcha?
No — lemon's acidity actually preserves the green color and mutes any bitterness. It's a classic pairing.
How much caffeine in matcha lemonade?
About 33 mg per 1 tsp matcha — a third of a cup of coffee. Enough for a midday lift, not enough to wreck your sleep.
Can I batch this for a pitcher?
Yes. Make matcha-water concentrate, lemon-syrup base, and water separately, then combine in a pitcher right before serving so the matcha doesn't settle for hours.
